Every unit we have coming

Nine new units, sorted by how close they are to being here. Each one shows what is actually on it, when we expect it, and whether it is already spoken for. If a unit is not on this list we do not have it, and the last section says what we will tell you when that happens.

In transit

4 units · built, VIN assigned

These are finished. They left the plant, they are on a rail car or a truck, and the arrival window is the carrier's estimate rather than a promise. A unit in this band can normally be driven home within a day or two of landing, once it is prepped and the paperwork is written.

Delivery day

Almost everything arrives on a carrier like this one, three to five weeks after the plant releases it. Two of the four units above are due in the first week of August.

Allocated, not yet built

3 units · no build week

The order is accepted and we are holding an allocation number against it. What we do not have yet is a build week, which is the plant's decision and not ours. The arrival estimates below are the honest wide ones. Every one of these gets a firm build week later, and when it lands here it moves up into the band above.

Order bank

2 units · no allocation yet

Written, submitted and waiting. There is no allocation number on these and no build week, so there is no arrival date we would be willing to print. The next scheduling window is expected in September. Both of these are the honest end of the list, and a new order written today joins them here.

How a unit gets from an order to this lot

  1. The order is written

Trim, drivetrain, colour and every option line goes on the sheet at the desk. It is submitted the same day and lands in the order bank at the bottom of this page.

  2. An allocation is assigned

The factory releases a set number of units to each store on a schedule we do not control. When one of ours is applied to your order, it picks up an allocation number and moves into the middle band.

  3. The plant schedules a build week

This is where constrained options get pulled and orders occasionally get bounced back. It is also the first date on the whole process anyone should treat as real.

  4. It is built and released to a carrier

A VIN is assigned at build. From release, three to five weeks by truck or rail is normal into this part of Missouri, and weather adds to it in January.

  5. It lands here and gets prepped

Shipping film off, fluids and tyre pressures checked, wash and a road test. Two days on a normal week. Then it is yours to look at in person before anything gets signed.

If what you want is not on this list

  • We will write the order

You pick every line on the sheet and we submit it. The deposit is $500 and it stays refundable until the unit is scheduled. The honest part is the timing: an order written today is most likely a spring arrival, and on a few lines it is longer than that. You will hear the range at the desk before you sign, not after.

  • We will look for a dealer trade

If a store within a few hundred miles has the unit on the ground, we can often trade for it. Trades cost us something, so they cost you something, and it is a number we say out loud before we start calling. Some stores will not trade a unit that is selling well for them, and that is a real answer we sometimes come back with.

  • We will tell you when we cannot

Some option combinations are not orderable together. Some are constrained and get pulled at scheduling. A few trims go to high volume stores and never reach a rooftop this size. When that is the answer you get it on the phone the same day, rather than a call back that does not come.

  • We will not take money to hold a place in a line that does not exist

There is no separate waiting list, because a waiting list is not how factory allocation works. There is this page and there is the order bank on it, and they are the same list. If someone quotes you a position on a list, ask them which band it is in.
